The Original William Fritz

The first in a long line of William Fritzes was our great-grandfather William Fritz.

I have very little information on him. I know he owned the Board of Trade saloon in Butte Montana from 1891-1892′ that he lived then at 19 E Porphyry St., that he married Melvina Hampton House on October. 7, 1887 and that he died in June 1892 and was buried in Mount Moriah cemetery in Butte. His marriage license gave his parents names as Joseph Fritz and Caroline Noeck. He was born Dec. 7, 1849 in Williamsburg, N.Y.
